A ski lodge with the pass snowed in and the phone dead
The road is closed. The bar is open. So is the question.
Six friends, one manager, and a chalet full of fondue. The weather closes the pass on the night the lodge's owner falls from the balcony, and the only footprints in the snow belong to someone who claims to have been in bed since nine.
Snowbound at Blackpine Lodge plays in three acts with a dinner break the script plans for. Times below assume a 7pm start; every kit includes a version for a later table.
Guests arrive with luggage and grudges. The owner announces he is selling the lodge, and the fondue arrives at exactly the wrong moment.
The owner is found in the snow. The balcony door was locked from inside, and the ski rack is one pair short.
The host pours something strong and compares the snow report with each guest's story about the last hour.
Six to 12 roles are written; the kit scales down by folding the smallest parts into the host. Each character arrives with a public face and a private problem.

Charming in four languages, insured in none of them.
Came for the skiing, stayed for the argument.
Believes a good sauce can solve almost anything.
